On a recent trip down to Lynchburg, Tennessee I ran across something pretty cool. Granted, seeing cool things in Lynchburg is not unusual at all. For those of you who may not know Lynchburg is the home of Jack Daniel’s. Should you ever get the chance I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful little town.

While riding around the square looking for a place to park I was admiring all the other bikes. Something was unusual and I couldn’t figure it out until that light bulb went off. All the bikes were springers. Now this really had my attention.

You know me I normally have a camera handy. So I walked back over to Doll Baby and took out the camera. I started taking a few shots and asking questions. Soon I was pointed over to Randy Verdun aka “Chief”. It seems Randy has started a group for those who love the Heritage Springer. How cool is that? They have a great website with lots of info so go over and check ‘em out. http://www.heritagespringer.com/

Randy was quick to point out that this is an association and not a club. They have a nice looking patch that some of them had on too. The Heritage Springer Owners Association was a very friendly group of folks from all over. I feel lucky to have stumbled across them. The pictures don’t do the bikes justice either. They were some sweet rides.

  1. Thanks for the kind words about our little group of Heritage Springer owners. That was a very memorable trip.

  2. This is totally cool! The Heritage Springer is my favorite Harley model, and I’m pissed that they stopped making them. I’m probably going to buy a new bike next year, and if they still made the Heritage Springer, that’s what I’d be buying.

There’s a lady in my Chapter who has a beautiful Heritage Springer. I emailed her links to this post, and to the HSOA’s website.

    Great, great post Ronman!

  3. A club just for people who own Heritage Springers? And I find it hard enough just to get anyone with a motorcycle to come ride with me. BTW, I’ve been to the Jack Daniel distillery, and the town square in Lynchburg, great place.

  4. You have a great site. Thanks for posting the photos and article about HSOA in Lynchburg.

  5. A few weeks ago I sent in $10 for dues, I have not recieved any dues card or any other info. Is it possible for someone to contact me on this matter. Thanks Robert.

    • I wouldn’t sweat not getting a membership card and as far as dues go, well on occasion we send in a few bucks to support the website and so there aren’t any official dues. Just go to the website, introduce yourself and we love to see pictures of your bike by the way. Just jump in and go for it. You’ll never find a better bunch, just good people from all over with like interests. The Heritage Springer you’ll find is only the beginning to what’ll more than likely turn out to be lifetime friendships.
