This is a local landmark. Now I know those of you from across the world don’t have a chance at knowing what this is. I just thought it would be fun to see if anyone else knows where and what this is. There have been lawsuits to save this landmark. The widening of a US highway was changed because of this. Take a peek at these two photographs and rack your brain then let me know the answer.

With the rock formations and specific vegetation, I’d say your in middle Tn. around Columbia. As for the painting, its too high and too recent for Indian pictograghs, so you got me, I give.

The mule has been there for a long time. My father told me the story on it when i was a child when he showed it to me on a trip back from Center Hill lake. I cannot remember the whole story. He told me it we there whn he was a child and, he was born in 1913. I believe he said a guy painted that back around the turn of the century, i will check and see if anyone can remember the story on it. My father was born in Milton, right across from the Milton cemtery where the battle of milton hill was fought. He grew up in the area , that is how i know about it.
